Frederick F. Kreussling of Riverhead, formerly of North Massapequa, died Oct. 15, 2018. He was 95 years old.
He was born June 9, 1923 in Ridgewood to Frederick A. Kreussling and Lucille Haeberle.
He married Dorothy Opel on June 21, 1952. He earned a doctorate of electrical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He worked as an electrical engineer at Sperry Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal from Nov. 20, 1942 to April 15, 1946. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf and classical music and mathematics.
Predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 2014, Aurelia Blinn, Elizabeth Dannenhoffer and Charles Kreussling, he is survived by his daughters Mary Cholodenko and Nancy (Keith) Keating, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family received visitors on Oct. 17 at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
