To the Editor:
We support Lee Zeldin for Congress because he works tirelessly to resolve issues that directly affect our residents.
Lee fought to stop the sale of Plum Island, restored and increased funding for the Peconic Estuary, relentlessly worked with committee members to create an alternative route for helicopter noise to protect our quality of life, is working towards prevention and treatment of the heroin and opioid abuse in our town and county, working for immigration solutions for agricultural and tourist destination seasonal workers so that our farms can continue to be active farms and our businesses that cater to our tourism can continue to thrive.
Lee supports local job creation by supporting military defense that will hopefully soon create additional high-paying jobs locally. Veterans are important to Lee.
He fought to make sure that when our veterans couldn’t get in to see a doctor at a federal facility, they could go to private doctors to seek care.
We know that Lee will continue to be a strong advocate for Riverhead residents and all who live within his district. We hope that you will join us on election day and come out to support Lee.
Sincerely,
Jim Wooten, Jodi Giglio and Timothy Hubbard
