Nancy Louise Palahnuk of Southold died Dec. 2, 2018 at San Simeon Nursing Home. She was 81 years old.
She was born Oct. 31, 1937 to Audrey Liebl and James M. Booth. She was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School and N.Y. Physician Aid School.
On May 18, 1957, she married Nestor Palahnuk and together they made their home in New Hyde Park, Mineola, Franklin Square and Hicksville where she was a curator at the Hicksville Gregory Museum. In 2001, they moved to the North Fork.
She is survived by her husband Nestor, her children Laurie Ann of Island Park and Michael Nestor of Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania and her siblings James Liebl of East Northport, Stephen Ueland of Hudson, New York and Wendy Shaw of Ft. Myers, Florida.
The family will receive friends Dec. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Religious services will be held on Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Garret Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Southold.
