Riverhead Police are investigating a vehicle fire early this morning at a West Main Street auto repair shop.
Police received a report of a vehicle fire this morning at 1:19 a.m. at Old Riverhead Motors at 1141 West Main St.
Responding officers found a 2003 Cadillac sedan fully engulfed in flames, according to a police press release.
Riverhed Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, police said. Riverhead police detectives, the Riverhead Town Fire Marshal and the Suffolk County Police Department arson squad responded and conducted an investigation at the scene.
The Cadillac was determined to have been at the location for repair and was unoccupied at the time of the fire, police said. No injuries were reported.
