Lenco Diagnostic Laboratory has opened a new location in Riverhead.
The new full-service patient service center, at 1149 Old Country Road, is the company’s 18th center — and its second in Suffolk County.
In addition to the typical services provided by all major labs, Lenco offers a unique mobile unit for elderly and infirm patients who have difficulty traveling to a lab to have blood drawn, Riverhead patient service center director Franklin Herskowitz said.
“There are circumstances with patients who can’t get to the lab,” Herskowitz said. “So we drive to them.”
Lenco participates in most major insurance plans.
