Riverhead police officers Cole Stasiukiewicz, Courtney Weber and Daniel Hoffman (pictured above, left to right) started service with the town police force yesterday.
All three recruits are “ready to hit the ground running since they already have their police certification,” Riverhead Police Chief David Hegermiller said in a press release Friday.
The new officers were appointed by the town board on March 5. They fill vacancies created by the recent retirements of longtime officers Mark Roberts, Kerri Davis and Dixon Palmer.
“We all wish them safe, healthy and successful careers with the department,” Hegermiller said.
