Excerpts from Riverhead Town Justice Court docket for the month of March 2019. There were a total of 1,634 criminal and traffic cases on the court’s docket in March. Convictions reported here are misdemeanors or felonies and do not include code violations or traffic infractions. Most felony cases are removed to Suffolk County Criminal Court for prosecution and are not included in this report.

Chaves, Cesar, 28, of Hampton Bays, pleaded guilty on March 27 to two counts of criminal contempt in the second degree and was sentenced by Judge Smith to probation.

Conway, Edward, 58, of Calverton, pleaded guilty on March 18 driving while intoxicated, received a conditional discharge, was ordered to use an interlock device and was fined $1,400 by Judge Hulse.

Escalante-Ortiz, Irso 34, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 11 to aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and was fined $310 by Judge Smith.

Fletcher, William, 54, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 27 to two counts of criminal contempt in the second degree and was sentenced by Judge Smith to three years probation.

Giles, Sha-Rim, 48, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 26 to unlicensed operation in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property (two counts), and was sentenced by Judge Smith to to 30 days and 45 days in jail (concurrently).

Gregory, Kereen, 26, of Islandia, pleaded guilty on March 25 to petit larceny and was fined $250 by Judge Smith.

Hernandez, Neftali, 58, of Flanders, pleaded guilty on March 18 to assault in the third degree, disorderly conduct and and vehicle and traffic law violations and was fined $384.

Hughes, Daniel, 37, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 18 to harassment in the second degree (three counts), criminal contempt in the first degree (two counts), driving while intoxicated, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, and was sentenced to six months in jail by Judge Hulse.

Hrzich, Joseph, 60, of Levittown, pleaded guilty on March 5 to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to interim probation with a conditional discharge.

Kess, Joseph, 36, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 27 to driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, criminal mischief and criminal contempt in the second degree (three counts) and was sentenced by Judge Smith to three years probation and fines totalling $2,403.

Letizia, Nicole, 26, of Mastic Beach, pleaded guilty on March 5 to criminal possession of stolen property and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to three years probation.

Livingston, Shane, 27, of Coram, pleaded guilty on March 26 to false personation and resisting arrest and was sentenced by Judge Smith to 30 days in jail.

Maciora, Kathleen, 51, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 11 to aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and was fined $210 by Judge Smith.

McCall, Denard, 29, of Wyandanch, pleaded guilty on March 5 to false personation and disorderly conduct and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to 30 days in jail.

Mims, Brandon, 28, of Greenport, pleaded guilty on March 13 to fleeing an officer in a vehicle in the third degree, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and circumventing an interlock device and was sentenced by Judge Smith to six months in jail.

Paradis, Michael, 52, of Pelham, NY, pleaded guilty on March 19 to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to three years probation and a $1,400 fine.

Petrak, Metej, 34, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 5 to aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and was fined $310 by Judge Hulse.

Quinteros, Oscar, 28, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 25 to driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation and was sentenced by Judge Smith to 60 days in jail, three years probation and a $1,400 fine.

Reed, Robert, 74, of Greenport, pleaded guilty on March 13 to aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and was fined $310 by Judge Smith.

Rivera, Jennie, 39, of Queens, charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of an anti-security item on pleaded guilty on March 4 to petit larceny on Nov. 28, 2018 and was fined $375 by Judge Hulse.

Roosa, Yvette, 57, of Rocky Point, pleaded guilty on March 13 to petit larceny and aggravated unlicensed operation and was fined $300 for each conviction by Judge Smith.

Scott, Alton, 50, of Riverhead,pleaded guilty on March 13 to aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and a surcharge of $93.

Staton, Lakea, 27, of Bellport, pleaded guilty on March 18 robbery in the third degree, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment in the second degree and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to three years probation and assessed a $205 surcharge.

Walsh, Andrew, 30, of Shirley, pleaded guilty on March 27 to petit larceny and was sentenced by Juge Smith to 90 days in jail.

Zablocki, Peter, 49, of North Babylon, pleaded guilty on March 20 to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to a conditional discharge and a fine of $760.

Zambrano-Funez, Alma, 27, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on March 4 to criminal contempt, criminal mischief and harassment on May 29, 2018 and was fined $750 by Judge Hulse.
