North Fork Community Theatre will present “The Drowsy Chaperone” Thursdays-Sundays May 16-June 2. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances will take place at 8 p.m.; the Sunday matinees will take place at 2:30 p.m.

Directed by Mary Motto Kalich, the show is a parody of the American musical comedy genre of the 1920s, a fictional 1928 musical called “The Drowsy Chaperone.” The characters come to life when a diehard theater fan listens to his favorite cast album. Karen Hochstedler is the music director.

An opening night reception will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16.

Tickets are $25 and are available here. Student tickets will be available for $20 at the box office beginning 10 minutes before each performance. These tickets are subject to availability and cannot be reserved ahead of time.
