Robert C. Schoenhaar of Riverhead died May 12, 2019, at Hamptons Care Center in Southampton. He was 70 years old.
Born in Jamaica, Queens on May 3, 1949, to Roy C. and Beverly Marie (Ochs) Schoenhaar, he grew up in Holliswood, Queens and was a graduate of St. Francis Preparatory School and Southampton College.
Schoenhaar spent many summers on the East End and was a prominent restaurateur on the North Fork. Family members said he loved the North Fork, boating and all his friends in the restaurant business and was also a friend to those in the golfing community.
According to his brother, Skip, “Friends were most important in helping him to live as long as he did. Memories are priceless.”
Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his brother, Skip (Phyllis) Schoenhaar of Cutchogue; niece and nephew David and Vikki; great-nephews Jack and Brendan; great-niece Emma and a son. He was also predeceased in 1989, by his wife Renee and son Robert Jr.
Interment took place May 13, 2019, at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue.
