Riverhead Police made 84 arrests in the month of July, according to data released by Chief of Police David Hegermiller.
According to the data, the breakdown of arrests and charges in July were:

Fifty-nine prisoners were detained in July, according to the report.
Riverhead Police received 3,073 calls in the month of July — 249 involved reports of criminal incidents and the balance, 2,824 were reports of noncriminal incidents. There were 102 calls classified as domestic incidents.
The 249 criminal incidents reported included:

Noncriminal incident calls included a wide variety of things, from responding to ambulance calls, known as “aided cases” (424), automatic alarms (297), disturbances (133), suspicious person/suspicious vehicle reports (111), town code violations (87), disputes (49) and disabled motor vehicles (27).
Police also responded to 195 motor vehicle accidents during the month. Two involved fatalities, according to the data.
Riverhead police issued 1,391 summonses in July, including 764 parking tickets.
