The United States Power Squadrons will hold a virtual two part course on boat safety on Saturday, Aug. 8 and Aug. 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The course costs $60 and attendees must register online or by calling (631)740-0710 by Aug. 1. Participants must be at least 10 years old by Aug. 15 to register. Log in information for the course will be provided after registration.

The course will cover boating law, safety equipment, safe boating practices, navigation, boating emergencies, personal watercraft, charts, GPS trailering and more. The course includes a physical or virtual copy of the America’s Boating Course manual.

After successful completion of the final exam, participants will receive a certificate to indicate compliance with New York State boater education law.
