Riverhead Police today charged a Riverhead man in four commercial burglaries that occurred lat last month and early this month.
Kenneth Hughes, 33, was charged with burglary in connection with burglaries at three local restaurants and a bar, according to a Riverhead Police press release.
According to police, Hughes burglarized Funchos Fajita Grill , 1156 West Main Street, Riverhead on July 23, Turkuaz Grill, 40 McDermott Avenue, Riverhead on July 25, Little Lucharitos, 487 Main Road, Riverhead on Aug. 6 and Cuddy’s Bar 313 Third Street, South Jamesport on Aug. 9.
Riverhead Police on Aug. 14 charged Hughes with burglaries of Cuddy’s Bar, Riverwalk Bar & Grill on Peconic Avenue and Green Island Distributors on West Main Street. When his arrest on those charges was announced, police said their investigation into additional burglaries was ongoing and they expected more charges would be forthcoming.
