Members of the Butterfly Effect Project will honor active and former service members with their Forget Me Not letter writing campaign.

Members of the Butterfly Effect Project — 518 girls aged 6 to 18 — will write personalized letters to thank service members for their service and sacrifices.

The letters will be mailed out to multiple military bases and veterans facilities and will arrive by 9/11.

Community organizations and middle and high school students are invited to join the campaign. Composed letters can be dropped off at the BEP office — 1018 Northville Turnpike in Riverhead — by Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m.

For more information or for a letter template, email [email protected] or call (631)591-0759. For more information about the BEP or to support BEP, please visit their website.
