The 24th Annual Snapper Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along the Peconic Riverfront at Ammann Park.

The tournament will feature a first place prize of a rod and reel for the winner in each division. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division. A raffle for prizes donated by local merchants will be held after the tournament.

Online registration can be found at the Town of Riverhead Recreation website under special events. Registration can also be completed by calling (631)727-3200 ext.205 or 700. Registration for children 15 years old and under costs $10 and anyone over the age of 16 costs $20. Pre-registration for the first 50 registrants will include a t-shirt. On-site registration will begin at the Riverhead Town Dock at 10 a.m.

Money raised from the event will go to support the Recreation Department’s Scholarship Fund.
