Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home will hold its fifth annual shredding event on Sunday, Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot at the funeral home, 406 E. Main Street in Riverhead.

The public is invited to bring personal household documents, ATM receipts, checks, old tax records, credit card statements, copies of bills, mail and other papers that contain personal information. This personal information could be used to steal money or identities if not disposed of properly via shredding.

People may bring up to four boxes or bags and watch as the professionals in the mobile shredding truck shred the materials. This event is open only for residents’ personal records. Shredding services for businesses will not be provided.
