Three people were arrested last night for allegedly robbing a man on the corner of Howell Avenue and East Main St in Riverhead.
Police received a call on Wednesday night at 9:33 p.m. to check the area for a victim of a robbery. After the victim was located, he notified the police that two white males had beat him up and removed money from him.
The information was relayed to sector car operators and two subjects were located a short distance away and detained shortly after, police said. After an investigation by the Riverhead Detective Division a third person was ultimately arrested.
Jason Williams, 35 and undomiciled, Kristin Blevins, 32 and undomiciled, and Tyler Sypher-Burgess, 26 of Riverhead, were charged with two counts of robbery in the second degree, police said. Sypher-Burgess was additionally charged with strangulation in the second degree and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, police said.
The subjects were processed and held for a morning arraignment at Riverhead Justice Court.
