Carol Ann Floege of Hampton Bays died at her home on Oct. 8, 2021. She was 74 years old.
She was born on June 26, 1947 in Albany to Kathryn Elizabeth (Morehouse) and Andrew Francis Britt. She attended Riverhead High School. She also attended cosmetology school and the Local 138 Operating Engineers.
She worked as a seamstress and owned the Colonial House Beauty Salon and Oma’s Attic. She was a member of East Quogue Historical Society, the Handicapped Committee of Southampton, Eastern Long Island Quilting Guild, the Local 138 Operating Engineers and the NYS Hairdressers’ Guild. Her hobbies included sewing, her grandchildren, traveling to Florida, her dogs and her 50/50.
She was predeceased by her brothers Clarence Michael Britt and Andrew Francis Britt, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Henry, children Dawn Beck (Kevin), Dina Kraskewic (Andrew) and Jason (Christine), grandchildren, Kayla Hojenski, Christian Hojenski, Isabella and Cora, sisters Katherine Aherns (Tom) and April Biittig(Rick) and brothers Kenneth Britt (Diane) and Kevin Britt (Columbia).
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Oct. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.
