Kenneth Zaweski of Jamesport died on Oct. 13, 2021. He was 85 years old.

He was born on May 10, 1936 to Felix and Pauline (Glover) Zaweski. He graduated from Riverhead High School in 1953. After graduating he attended Cornell College of Agriculture, but decided to stay home to work on the family farm.

He and his son formed MKZ Farms and were known for their California privet. Even after retirement, he made frequent trips to the farm and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

His hobbies included gatherings with family and friends and playing his accordion. He was a member of the The Polka Boys band, which was later renamed The Islanders.

He was predeceased by his brothers Walter, Anthony, and Edward. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Alice, children Mark (Emilie) of Jamesport, Maria of Jamesport and Steven, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors on Oct. 15 at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. Celebration of the mass was held on Oct. 16 at St. Isidore R.C. Church. Interment was held at St. Isidore cemetery.
