Police are looking for two women who assaulted a male employee at the 7-Eleven in the DMV Plaza late last night.

Patrol officers responding to a report of an assault that just occurred at the store at 11:33 p.m. determined that two women had punched the employee in the face and head and then stabbed him in the leg, according to a Riverhead Police press release.

The victim was transported by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Riverhead Police detectives are investigating and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
