UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: Angelica Ortiz-Cano has been located in the Riverhead area and returned to her home and family and is no longer considered missing, RIverhead Police said in a press release this evening. Police earlier had put out a second request for help locating the 13-year-old, a frequent runaway who had been missing since New Year’s Eve.
Riverhead Police are still looking for a 13-year-old Riverhead girl who ran away from home on New Year’s Eve and remains missing.
Angelica Ortiz-Cano, 13, a frequent runaway, left her home at 32 Lewis Street in Riverhead at about 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, according to police press releases issued Jan. 4 and 15.
Angelica is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 5 feet tall, 100 pounds, with a thin build, light complexion, brown eyes and brown straight hair, police said. No clothing description was provided by the family, according to the press release.
No foul play is suspected, police said.
Angelica is known to frequent the Flanders area, police said.
