Concetta M. Balzano of Riverhead died on May 6, 2022 in Peconic Bay Medical Center Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Riverhead. She was 94 years old.
She was born on June 9, 1927 in Brooklyn to Antonio and Beatrice (Zasa) Romano. She worked as a homemaker. Her hobbies included cooking, cleaning, sewing and feeding people.
She was predeceased by her husband Jerry. She is survived by her children Andrew of Riverhead, Anthony of East Moriches and Josephine of Riverhead, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, May 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Johns Church in Riverhead. Interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.
