Ruth B. Bennett-Kimble of Flanders died on June 8, 2022 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 70 years old.
She was born on June 12, 1951 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to George and Susie (Jones) Bennett. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Sunrest Nursing Home in Port Jefferson. She was a member of Good Will AME Zion Church. Her hobbies included family, traveling and casinos.
She is survived by her husband Johnnie of Flanders, children Eric Bennett of Mastic, Sylvia Bennett of Mastic and Shannon Kimble of Flanders, and by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, June 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
