Madelyn Zaweski of Riverhead died on July 27, 2022. She was 89 years old.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1932 in Riverhead to Thomas and Mary (Danielowicz) Sendlewski. She graduated from Riverhead High School in 1950.
She worked as operator for Verizon. She was a former member of the Jamesport Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Isidore Church and St. Isidore Altar Rosary Society. Her hobbies included cross-stitch and baking.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony. She is survived by her children Anthony (Lenora) of Porter, Texas, Robert (Pam) of Riverhead and Thomas of St. James, grandchildren Renee, Jason, Jessica, Alexandra and Lauren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 31 from 3 to 7 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Church. Interment will be held at St. Isidore Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Isidore Altar Rosary Society would be appreciated.
