Elizabeth M. Powers of Calverton, died on Sept. 23, 2022 at Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. She was 86 years old.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1935 in Brooklyn to George and Elizabeth (Duffy) Fuller. She graduated from Bishop McDonald High School in 1953. She worked as a senior county clerk at Suffolk County.

She was a former historian of the Riverhead Republican Club and St. Johns Parish. Her hobbies included playing cards, attending her book club and her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward and brother Gerald. She is survived by her children Maura Frankman of Riverhead, Edward of Jamesport and Maribeth Vail of Riverhead, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Johns in Riverhead and interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Monastery of Our Lady of Mt. Caramel and St. Joseph would be appreciated.
