Celebrate survivorship and pay tribute to those affected by breast cancer through the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at Grangebel Park in Riverhead.

“Thanks in large part to the decades of work and the dollars raised, a breast cancer diagnosis does not come without hope, and the breast cancer journey is not one that has to be traveled alone,” says Associated Director of The American Cancer Society’s Brittany Lawton.

Advanced registration is free and open to individuals, teams, families and groups and can be completed by visiting the Making Strides websites.

Donations will fund the American Cancer Society and its breast cancer research, education and guidance to help reduce people’s risk and patient support programs.

For more information about the event, contact the American Cancer Society by emailing LongIslandNYStrides@cancer.org.
