The Riverhead Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance locating a teenage boy reported missing from Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch.

Nasir Scruggs, 16, left the facility “without permission” around 1:50 a.m. today, according to police. He was on foot eastbound on Middle Road with an unknown destination, police said.

Nasir is a frequent runaway from the facility and has been known to travel to Nassau and Queens in the past, police said. No foul play is suspected.

He is described by police as Black, 5’11” tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair worn in braids. He was last seen wearing black nylon sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 631-727-4500.
