
Harold J. Kober of Cutchogue died at home on Nov. 15, 2022. He was 92 years old.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1930 in Queens to Margarete (Wilson) and Harold A. Kober.
He was a member of Sacred Heart church. He worked for the New York Telephone Company for more than forty years and retired as the foreman.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Rowley). He is survived by his children Kathleen Shearin (Jack) of Palm Beach, Florida, Thomas (Theresa) of East Quogue, James (Charlene) of Ashburn, Virginia, Michael (Kiesha) of Chino Hills, California, Andrew (Karen) of Stamford, Connecticut, Patricia (Andrew) of Laurel, John (Barbara) of Parker, Colorado and Margaret Fiedler (David) of Southold and grandchildren Jaclyn Shearin, Jennifer, Stephanie, Rebecca Yakaboski (Alfred), Catherine Mottola (Bryan), Sean, Jeffrey, Kevin, Christopher (Amy), Katie, Michael (Lauren), Steven (Christine), Robert (Akriti), Christopher (Katie), Patricia, Matthew Ireland, Victoria Ireland, Caitlin, Brian, Thomas, Sara Fiedler and Douglas Fiedler.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, Nov. 18 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck, officiated by Monsignor Joseph W. Staudt. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Amyloidosis Center-Boston Medical Center, East End Hospice or Little Sisters of the Poor would be appreciated. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
