Joan K. Brown of Riverhead died on Jan. 27, 2023 at Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. She was 86 years old.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1936 in Brooklyn to Helen (Durkin) and Robert Kotch. She graduated from high school.
She worked as a court officer for Suffolk County Supreme Court in Riverhead. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church.
She was predeceased by her husband. She is survived by her children Robert, Teri (Russell) Losee and Jeffrey (Judy Guerin), two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, Jan. 30 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Tuthill Mangano Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment will be held at East Marion Cemetery.
