Dear Editor,

My husband and I have been attending Planning Board meetings and Town Board meetings since September when we heard about all the projects under consideration in the hamlet of Calverton. We are very concerned about all the warehouses and the EPCAL property proposals. While attending these meetings and hearing the comments from the residents it became increasingly clear that the residents are not being heard.

Learning that the Town Board would not even hold a public hearing to get more input from the people they were elected to represent really bothered us. It seems they already have made up their minds on these huge warehouses. How can they say they represent the people when clearly they do not? We missed the last board meeting where our civic president was treated unfairly. We are very frustrated with this current board. Let’s all get out and vote in the next election and get board members that care.
