Excerpts from Riverhead Town Justice Court docket for the week of March 20 2023, Justice Sean Walter presiding. There were 339 criminal and traffic cases on the court’s docket. Convictions reported here are misdemeanors or felonies and do not include violations, unless resulting from a charge of a misdemeanor or felony, or traffic infractions. Most felony cases are removed to Suffolk County Criminal Court for prosecution and are not included in this report.
Barrington, Melissa, 42, of Riverhed, charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree on Nov. 5, 2022, pleaded guilty to Disorderly Conduct on March 20 and was fined $300.
Coke, Chevaughn, 28, of New Briton, Connecticut, charged with Assault in the Second Degree on April 19, 2022, pleaded guilty on March 21 to Harassment in the Second Degree and was fined $250. A two-year order of protection was entered.
Goode, Carl, 56, of Islip, charged on Jan. 29, 2023 with Petit Larceny, False Personation and possession of an open alcohol container, pleaded guilty to Petit Larceny and was fined $250 Gusman, Pedro, 30, of Brentwood, charged on Nov. 13, 2022 with two counts of Assault in the Second Degree, two counts of Assault in the Third Degree, one count of Escape in the Second Degree and one count of Obstructing Government Administration, pleaded guilty on March 20 to Reckless Assault of a Child, Escape in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and was sentenced to imprisonment of 170 days and a fine of $1,000.
Jewell, Kendra, 25, of Baiting Hollow, charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree on April 20, 2018, April 21, 2018, and Sept. 29, 2018, pleased guilty to two counts of Disorderly Conduct and was fined $600.
Morreale, Dean, 50, charged on Jan. 2, 2023 with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, pleaded guilty on March 21 to Harassment in the Second Degree and was fined $250. A stay-away order of protection was entered.
Perez-Xitumul, Melvin, 32, of Riverhead, charged with Driving While Intoxicated on Nov. 12, 2022, pleaded guilty to Driving While Ability Impaired on March 20 and was sentenced to one year of interim probation and fined $760.
Zhdanova, Galina, 42, of Manhattan, charged on Oct. 8, 2022 with Driving While Intoxicated, pleaded guilty to Driving While Ability Impaired and was sentenced to a conditional discharge and fined $760. Benitez-Benitez, Carlos, 30, of Riverhead, charged on Oct. 31, 2022 with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, False Personation and multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations, pleaded guilty in Suffolk County Criminal Court on March 16, 2023 to Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony, and was sentenced to imprisonment of 30 days or a $1,000 fine, and five years probation. His license was suspended for 18 months. This case was marked off the Riverhead Justice Court calendar on March 22.
