Agnes R. Russo of East Marion died on May 16, 2023. She was 100 years old.
Born on July 27, 1922, in Lowell, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Malamati (née Kolio) and George Iatrou. Agnes lived in Woodside, New York, from 1960 to 1979 before moving to East Marion. She worked as a seamstress and bookkeeper throughout her career.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Bill Reynolds; second husband, Anthony Russo; and siblings Charlie Iatrou, Manny Iatrou, Katherine Chryssiadis, Nick Iatrou, Christina Thalassinos, and Mario Iatrou. Agnes is survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
Viewing services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, from 11 a.m. to noon at Transfiguration of Christ G.O. Church in Mattituck. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated following the viewing services at noon at the church, officiated by Father Andrew Cadieux. Interment will follow at Sterling Cemetery in Greenport. DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold is serving the family.
