Fire departments from across Suffolk County will march up Route 58 Saturday morning when the Riverhead Fire Department hosts the 150th Suffolk County Drill and Parade.

The parade is scheduled to step off at 10 a.m. at the Route 58 traffic circle and proceed west on Route 58 to the Riverhead Fire Department’s training grounds and drill track, where the Riverhead Fire Department’s Ironman Drill Team will host its 33rd Annual Motorized Tournament.

Riverhead hosted the 138th Suffolk County Drill and Parade in July 2010. More than 50 fire departments participated in that parade, the first one Riverhead had hosted in 25 years. Other emergency services organizations, members of the National Guard, and several pipe and drum corps also marched. See video of 2010 parade.
