Excerpts from Riverhead Town Justice Court docket for the month of July 2023, Justice Lori Hulse and Justice Sean Walter presiding. There were 1,241 cases on the court’s criminal docket in July. Convictions reported here are misdemeanors or felonies and do not include violations, unless resulting from a charge of a misdemeanor or felony, or traffic infractions. Most felony cases are removed to Suffolk County Criminal Court for prosecution and are not included in this report.

Alanya-Paz, Isabel, 32, of East Elmhurst, Queens,pleaded guilty on July 24 to Petit Larceny on May 29, 2022, and was granted a one year conditional discharge by Judge Walter and assessed a $205 surcharge.

Aldair-Garcia, Alexander, 52, undomiciled, pleaded guilty on July 18 to Petit Larceny on Dec. 2, 2022, and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to 45 days in jail and was assessed a $205 surcharge.

Brown, Ryan, 55, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on July 18 to Disorderly Conduct on Nov. 9, 2022, and received a conditional discharge from Judge Hulse and a $150 fine.

Dejoseph, Daniel P., 43, of Baiting Hollow, pleaded guilty on July 12 to Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs in the First Degree on Jan. 11, and was sentenced by Judge Walter to one year conditional discharge and fined $1,200.

Foster, Meredith, 27, of Riverhead, pleaded guilty on July 18 to Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree on Jan. 9, and was sentenced by Judge Hulse to one year of interim probation.

Gulino, Melissa A., 44, of Shoreham, pleaded guilty on July 10 to Driving While Ability Impaired on May 5, and was sentenced by Judge Walter to one year conditional discharge.

Lersh, Mykhaylo, 44, of Riverhead,  charged on Feb. 11 with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree, was granted  one-year conditional discharge on July 26 by  Judge Walter. 

Perez Ortega, Cain A., 31, of Medford, pleaded guilty on July 12 to Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree on Nov. 12, 2018, and was sentenced by Judge Walter to time served and assessed a $205 surcharge.

Rubio-Reyes, Daniel E., 23, undomiciled, pleaded guilty on July 12 to Harassment in the Second Degree on Aug. 9, 2022 and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree on May 11, 2022, and was sentenced by Judge Walter to time served and assessed a $205 surcharge.
