Justice Court report: August 2023

Excerpts from Riverhead Town Justice Court docket for the month of August 2023, Justice Lori Hulse and Justice Sean Walter presiding. There were 1,117 cases on the court’s criminal docket in August. Convictions reported here are misdemeanors or felonies and do not include violations, unless resulting from a charge of a misdemeanor or felony, or traffic infractions. Most felony cases are removed to Suffolk County Criminal Court for prosecution and are not included in this report.

Bozsnyak, Brigid, 28, of Cutchogue pleaded guilty on Aug. 23 to Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated on May 16, 2022, and was sentenced to three years probation and assessed a $1400 fine by Judge Walter.

Brown, Anthony, 21, of the Bronx pleaded guilty on Aug. 30 to Disorderly Conduct on Feb. 20, and was assessed a $150 fine by Judge Hulse.

Chaves, Nicole, 36, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to Driving While Intoxicated, Per Se on March 11, and was sentenced to conditional discharge and assessed a $1000 fine by Judge Walter.

Cirella, Laura, 61, of Rocky Point pleaded guilty on Aug. 23 to Petit Larceny on July 29, and was sentenced to one year conditional release and assessed a $250 fine by Judge Walter.

Cousin, Herbert, 58, of Shirley pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to Disorderly Conduct on Jan. 2, and was assessed a $250 fine by Judge Walter.

Escalante-Ortiz, Freddy, 42, of Shirley pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to Driving While Intoxicated, Per Se on June 15, and was sentenced to interim probation by Judge Walter.

Gonzalez-Alvarado, Jose, 25, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 28 to Driving While Intoxicated, Per Se on Oct. 31, 2022, and was sentenced to three years probation and assessed a $1,400 fine by Judge Hulse.

Gonzalez-Garcia, Jose, 40, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to Driving While Intoxicated, Per Se on April 3, 2022, and was sentenced to one year of conditional discharge and was assessed a $1,400 fine by Judge Walter.

Guthrie, Dorothy, 52, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 1 to Petit Larceny on Nov. 28, 2022 and Jan. 8, and was sentenced to two years of probation by Judge Hulse.

Hagenbruch, Matthew, 30, of St. James pleaded guilty on Aug. 23 to Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree on Aug. 17, 2022 and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs on Dec. 2, 2022, and was sentenced to 3 years probation and assessed a total of $1,650 in fines by Judge Walter and Judge Hulse.

Haimindra, Neil, 35, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 1 to Assault in the Third Degree on July 22, 2022, and was sentenced to conditional release and assessed a $250 fine by Judge Hulse.

Hernandez-Reyes, Leonel, 49, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 30 to Driving While Intoxicated on Nov. 18, 2021, and was sentenced to three years probation by Judge Hulse.

Holliday, Javon, 20, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 2 to Disorderly Conduct on Jan. 7, and was sentenced to conditional discharge and assessed a $125 fine by Judge Hulse.

Hubbard, Victoria, 28, of Calverton pleaded guilty on Aug. 23 to Disorderly Conduct on July 18, 2013, and was assessed a $250 fine by Judge Walter.

Hughes, Larry, 61, of Bellport pleaded guilty on Aug. 1 to Disorderly Conduct on March 13, and was sentenced to conditional discharge and assessed a $125 surcharge by Judge Hulse.

Jones, Tywan, 43, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 2 to Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree on Dec. 7, 2022 and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree on Feb. 23, and was sentenced to 45 days in jail by Judge Hulse.

Kurz, Henry, 38, of Center Moriches pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to Operating A Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree on June 17, 2022, and was sentenced to one year probation by Judge Walter.

Lazazzaro, Robert, 60, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 2 to Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs on July 24, 2021, and was sentenced to one year conditional release and assessed a $1000 fine by Judge Hulse.

Lobato-Munoz, Jacobo, 29, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 30 to Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree on June 26 and Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree on August 21, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and assessed a $250 fine by Judge Hulse.

Mcrae, Tyrese, 23, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 30 to violating Riverhead’s Open Alcohol Code on June 7 and Jan. 7 and Petit Larceny on March 27, 2022, and was sentenced to one year conditional release and assessed a total of $375 fine by Judge Hulse.

Palacios, Jose, 29, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to Harassment in the Second Degree on Feb. 10, and was sentenced to conditional release and assessed a $210 fine by Judge Walter.

Pineda-Osorio, Enrique, 55, of Riverhead pleaded guilty on Aug. 28 to Driving While Intoxicated on Aug. 31, 2022, and was sentenced to three years probation and assessed a $1,400 fine by Judge Hulse.

Rubino, Dawn, 38, of Westhampton Beach pleaded guilty on Aug. 23 to Driving While Ability Impaired by the Combined Influence of Drugs or of Alcohol and Any Drug or Drug on Oct. 2, 2022, and was sentenced to three years probation and assessed a $1400 fine by Judge Walter.

Sales Garcia, Roberto, 57, of Flanders pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to Driving While Intoxicated on April 16, 2022, and was sentenced to one year conditional release by Judge Walter.
