Michael A. SantoPietro of Manorville, died on Nov. 12, 2023, in Calverton. He was 56 years old.
Born on Feb. 7, 1967 in Staten Island, SantoPietro moved to Manorville in 2008 where he resided at East End Disability Associates’ Barnes Road IRA group home. His family said he lived a full life there, receiving excellent care.
SantoPietro was known for his love of guitars and animals. He enjoyed listening to classic heavy metal music. His family said he will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and infectious laugh. He also appreciated a good meal, a hot cup of coffee, an ice-cold beer or a glass of classic Coca-Cola. SantoPietro loved to keep busy and took great pride in working. He retired from working at Stop & Shop in 2019.
SantoPietro is survived by his nieces and nephews: Mia (Nicholas) Pinnix, Erick Ramos Jr., Luciana Ramos, Bianca DeRusso, Rosa DeRusso, and Selena Ramos. He is also survived by his sisters Christina (Erik Ramos) SantoPietro and Lisa SantoPietro, as well as his brother Peter SantoPietro.
Visitation services will be held at the Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E. Main St. in Riverhead on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 3 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held that evening, from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
