Madeline Cavaluzzi of Riverhead died on Nov. 28, 2025. She was 75 years old.

She was born on March 31, 1950 to Pasquale and Angelina (DiGirlamo) Cavaluzzi and attended Evander Childs High School in the Bronx.

Maddy worked as a bartender at the Birchwood. She also worked at Hazeltine, and for the Town of Riverhead at the George Young Community Center.

Her family said she enjoyed softball, bike riding, dancing, traveling and having a great time with family and friends, dubbed the “Fun Squad.”

She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law, Michael DeLuca. She is survived by her siblings, Domenica DeLuca and Joseph A. Cavaluzzi (Carol Huck), Johanna Wells (Garry Becker) and Vivian M. Velez (William). She is also survived by her nieces, Francesca Nardella (John), Angela DeLuca, Erica Scheer (Andrew), Rachel Wells, and Alexa Velez (Steven McCrum), and by her great-nieces and nephews Fiona and Lorelai Guida, Sabrina and Johnny Nardella, Hannah and Leadora Kirk, and Leo A. McCrum.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, Dec. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
