Riverhead's ProHEALTH urgent care center has begun to offer drive-through COVID-19 testing outside its Route 58 office.

Eight dead in coronavirus outbreak at Peconic Landing, at least 15 employees test positive

Eight residents of Peconic Landing have now died from COVID-19 as the retirement community battles an outbreak among members and staff. Peconic Landing says it currently has 10 residents and 15 employees diagnosed with coronavirus.

Temporary hospital at Stony Brook will be built by April 18, feds award construction contract: Zeldin

The Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $50 million contract to build a 1,000-bed temporary hospital at Stony Brook University. Construction is expected to be completed by April 18, Rep. Lee Zeldin said.

The Riverhead Police Department is requesting the public's help in locating Xiamari Diaz, 17, who went missing from a residence on Sound Avenue in Riverhead March 29.

Suffolk coronavirus update: County is ‘racing to be prepared’ for peak of outbreak, Bellone says

“Every single one of us will have an impact on how successful we are in reducing those fatalities and ultimately preventing the health care system from being overwhelmed by that surge that continues to approach." Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone urged residents to stay home and if they must go out to follow social distancing guidelines.
