Riverhead celebrates the holiday season with a big parade and bonfire

Hundreds turned out to watch the Lion's Club Christmas Parade on Main Street Saturday afternoon and enjoy the bonfire on the riverfront that followed.

The event, organized and hosted by Truth Community Church, featured photos with Santa, Christmas carols sung by the Riverhead Middle School show choir, an outdoor fire, and cookies, doughnuts, chips and hot chocolate to fend off the cold.
