Public Notice: Town of Riverhead — Zoning Board of Appeals hearings

PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to Section 267 of the Town Law a Public Hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York on July 26, 2018 at the Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York, not before the time shown below on each of the following appeals:

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-026–Old Steeple Church–656 Main Road, Aquebogue– SCTM No. 600-67-1-25.1 –VC Zoning- for variances and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 254 F(1) where the proposed replacement freestanding sign is internally illuminated which is not permitted.          

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-037–801F Realty Corp–1563 Main Road, Jamesport, NY 11947– SCTM No. 600-68-4-65.1 –VC Zoning- for variances and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 254 F(1) where canopy signs are internally illuminated which is not permitted.      

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-038–Miriam Villavicencio–111 Sweezy Avenue, Riverhead– SCTM No. 600-128-2-3 –IC Zoningfor variances and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 222 E where the proposed addition is 2.1 feet from the property line and the minimum required is 30 feet.

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-039–Dariush Elahi–180 Creek Road, Wading River – SCTM No. 600-29-1-33 –RB80 Zoning- for variances and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 219-14A where proposed addition represents development in a restricted bluff area, and additions to buildings within 50 feet of the top of the bluff are prohibited; Section 29A(1)(b) where proposed accessory deck addition is in the front yard and 3.77 feet from the side property line, and accessory structures are not permitted in the front yard and minimum setback to the property line required is 20 feet; Section 29A(1)(c) where wood boardwalk constructed in the rear yard is 7.7 feet from the side property line, and minimum required is 20 feet; Section 31 where proposed combined side yard is 17.6 feet, and minimum required is 45 feet; and, Section 222E where proposed 1st and 2nd story additions increase gross floor area within the required front and side yards, representing an increase in degree of nonconformity of a preexisting nonconforming dwelling, which is not permitted.

Any person desiring to be heard on the above mentioned appeals should appear at the specified time and place.
