The Suffolk County Board of Elections confirmed today that Assemblyman Anthony Palumbo’s lead in the count makes his victory in the First Senate District election “mathematically certain.”

“I’m thrilled with where we are, but it’s not over," Assemblyman Anthony Palumbo said of his 14-point lead in the First Senate District race. Councilwoman Jodi Giglio echoed his sentiment about her run for the Second Assembly District, though her opponent said the race is over.
