‘Newsies,’ a musical about the 1899 NYC newsboys’ strike, opens tonight at Riverhead High School
"Newsies" is loosely based on the NYC newsboys' strike of 1899, when the young newspaper vendors demonstrated for two weeks for higher wages. The Blue Masques production opens tonight at Riverhead High School and runs through Sunday.
