Riverhead drug dealer pleads guilty to manslaughter, heroin sale in fatal overdose
John Brophy, 49, who with LaShawn Lawrence, 35, of Greenport, was accused of dealing heroin cut with fentanyl that caused the overdose death of a man in Riverhead last September, pleaded guilty last week to criminal sale of a narcotic drug and second-degree manslaughter.

Man charged with allowing drug sales out of Lincoln Street auto repair shop enters plea deal
Bryan Hale, 52, of Flanders, has entered a plea deal with prosecutors. He was indicted in March with two men who knowingly sold a lethal mix of heroin and fentanyl, resulting in a fatal overdose in Riverhead in September 2018, according to prosecutors.
