A riverfront parcel on West Main Street previously approved for a 40-seat restaurant may become a park for Peconic River access, if  the Suffolk County Legislature approves its purchase. 

The long-awaited replacement of the Wading River beach playground is set to take place over the next two weeks, along with the installation of another new playground near the ballfields at the Calverton Enterprise Park (EPCAL).
