Wind advisory

The local region is under a flood watch and wind advisory Saturday for steady rain, which may be heavy at times, and strong winds gusting to 45-50 mph.

Winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 50 mph are in the forecast today and overnight tonight, according to the National Weather Service. A wind advisory is in effect on the East End.

Another overnight rainstorm will impact the region tonight with potentially heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms after midnight, with strong southeast winds gusting up to 50 mph and coastal flooding Saturday.

Strong winds, gusting to 50 mph, and heavy rain are expected to continue early this morning across the region. Wind, coastal flood advisories are in effect till 10 a.m. a Gale warning is also in effect for local waters.

Potentially heavy rain and strong winds are expected tonight into tomorrow morning as a coastal storm bears down on the local region.

A coastal flood warning and wind advisory have been issued as a winter storm will to bring rain and strong winds into the region Thursday night through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected, the National Weather Service said in the advisory.
