Aerial larvicide application

The county’s vector control division plans to treat parts of the numerous marshes across the county Thursday and Friday to control mosquito larvae, the Department of Health announced Wednesday afternoon. Locations include marshes in Riverhead, Southold and Flanders.

Suffolk County will begin treating salt marshes across the county this week to control mosquito larvae, the county health department announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Suffolk County Department of Public Works’ Division of Vector Control plans to treat various salt marshes by helicopter to control mosquito larvae on July 6 and 7, between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.
