Patchy light snow or freezing rain is forecast to move across the area from west to east starting around 6 a.m. This will be a brief episode and will exit eastern Long Island by mid-morning.
While the probability of occurrence is low…the impacts of freezing rain…regardless of amount…are hazardous to travel.
Travelers are advised to check the latest nws forecast before departing for their destination this morning.
