Riverhead High School sophomore Wes Kujawski qualified for the state boys golf championship in June after finishing sixth in the Suffolk County boys individual championship tournament.

Riverhead is one of six Suffolk County schools that will be represented in the state individual tournament, according to a school district press release.

Varsity boys golf head coach Steve Failla credited support from the district community for the program’s individual and team accomplishments.

“I would like to thank our entire district community for its continued support,” Failla said.

The boys team now turns its attention to the team playoffs.
