Fourth of July events guide: Parades, festivals, fireworks on the North Fork

Greenport Fire Department Carnival & Fireworks
When: July 1 – July 5, starting at 6 p.m.
Where: Polo Grounds on Moores Lane, Greenport
Carnival with rides, games and food Wednesday through Sunday starting at 6 p.m. Fireworks Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m.

Peconic Bay Medical Center Family Fun Festival & Fireworks
When: July 1 – July 4, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Where: Route 25A across from CVS, Wading River
Festival with rides, games and food Wednesday through Friday from 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. Fireworks Friday at 9 p.m.

Suffolk Theater Pre-Fireworks Festivities
When: July 3, 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Suffolk Theater, East Main Street, Riverhead
Free performance by “Who Are Those Guys,” neo-classic rock and blues band. Drinks, appetizers, dinners and dessert available from Suffolk Theater’s a la carte menu.

Riverhead BID’s Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks
When: July 3, 6 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
Where: Peconic Riverfront downtown parking lot, Riverhead
Performances by Grammy nominee Brady Rymer, children’s artist (at 7 p.m.), with Misspent Youth starting things off at 6 p.m.  There will also be food, face painting, stilt walkers, balloon artists and jugglers. Fireworks at 9 p.m. Rain date July 5.

Riverhead Raceway Fireworks
When: July 4, 10 p.m.
Where: Riverhead Raceway, Route 58, Riverhead
Riverhead Raceway’s annual fireworks show. Rain date July 11.

Southold Fourth of July Parade
When: July 4 at 12 p.m.
Where: Main Road from Boisseau Avenue to Tuckers Lane, Southold

Tall Ships
When: July 4 – July 7
Where: Mitchell Park, Greenport
Tall Ships is a four-day event featuring live music, street performers, a carnival and other special events and activities. The all-day festival goes from July 4 through July 7, ending at 10 p.m. on the weekend and 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Fireworks Saturday and Sunday at the nearby Greenport Fire Department Carnival.
