The McGann-Mercy Monarchs fell to the Porters 40-0 in the 2016 season opener on the Monarchs’ home field last night.
Porters quarterback Jordan Fonseca and running back Keegan Syron had two touchdowns each. A solid Porters defense shut down the Monarchs, who were plagued by penalties.
Next Friday, the Monarchs host Bayport-Blue Point. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
