A van collided with a tractor trailer on Route 25 in Jamesport this morning, injuring both occupants of the van and temporarily closing the road in both directions, according to police.
A Chrysler Dodge van was headed eastbound on Route 25 this morning around 9 a.m. when the driver crossed over the double yellow line just east of Manor Lane and collided with a tractor trailer driving in the other direction, according to police on the scene.
Both the driver and passenger of the van were transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver of the truck did not go to the hospital, according to police. There were no other passengers in either vehicle.
Police have closed Route 25 between Manor Lane and Herricks Lane in both directions while the accident is being cleared.
No summonses have been issued at this time, according to police.
